How does an MSSP differ from an MSP?

Most businesses know what an MSP is: a Managed Services Provider.  MSPs typically provide a whole variety of network and computer services that are based on the ability to remotely monitor and manage many different components on a business network, including servers, workstations, firewalls, access points, switches and printers.    There are dozens of different offerings and components available on  variety of levels, including managed antivirus, patch management, security monitoring, system health alerts, spam and virus filtering, managed backups...the list goes on and on.
