PJ Networks is a growing technology managed services provider seeking a self-motivated and dedicated individual to join our expanding Network Operations Center (NOC) / Help Desk Support team. This role will require a broad array of technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to support client networks. This position will be responsible for monitoring servers, workstations, and other network hardware spread across multiple client sites and will require the ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues as they come up. he qualified individual will be able to work quickly and effectively to resolve problems while documenting the assistance provided within the PJ Networks' ticketing system. The position requires individuals to work both independently and as part of the Help Desk team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing existing NOC platform to monitor hardware and software
  • Remotely managing, supporting, and updating Servers, Hypervisors, and related systems, and security policies
  • Creating new systems and methods of monitoring as needed
  • Troubleshooting – following existing procedures and creating procedures as needed
  • Establish baseline performance metrics
  • Performing software upgrades

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Previous consulting or MSP experience is highly desirable
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows Server 2008 - 2016 with current Microsoft certifications or willingness to commit to obtaining one or more certification within 90 days of hire
  • Experience with desktop computer support, including familiarity with all versions of Microsoft operating systems, through Windows 10
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange and Office 365
  • Experience configuring and managing firewalls and switches, including setup of VLANs, NAT rules, VPN tunnels, etc.
  • Experience with PowerShell Scripting
  • Experience with data backup and disaster recovery software

A positive attitude, good communication skills and a team mentality are absolutely required. Candidate must be willing to occasionally work after hours or weekends, as necessary.

Computer Repair Technician

PJ Networks is currently seeking computer repair technicians with one to three years of experience diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and configuring laptop and desktop computers, including similar Apple products. Typical duties include:

  • - Troubleshooting and repairing hardware, including disassembling and reassembling a laptop computer
  • - Troubleshooting and correcting operating system failures and malware infected computers
  • - Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades
  • - Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines
  • - Installing, configuring and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals such as printers
  • - Diagnosing network connectivity issues
  • - Experience on networks that allows individual to configure home and business networks is a plus.

Applicants must have good communication skills and customer service experience. PJ Networks’ technicians interact with current and potential customers on a daily basis. After a training period, applicants should also have the ability to evaluate and implement all levels of computer repairs and service with minimal supervision.

This position will primarily involve working at either our Charlottesville or Ruckersville computer repair shop on a work bench, but may occasionally include on-site home computer support calls. Please note that this is NOT an entry level position and we are not seeking any interns at this point in time.
